Just another crazy Thursday...

What a long day! Leora woke me up at 2:30 a.m. jerking with a high fever. I sat up with her until it broke which was ???a.m. Got up and took her to the Dr. She has an ear infection in the left ear, a "cold virus" settled into her eyes, and a croupy cough. Bless her soul, I thought that the tubes would take care of all these infections. Guess not. Antibiotics, ibuprofen, mucinex, and eye drops here we come!

Since I was caring for a sick toddler all day Brian lovingly came home and cleaned up while we visited Nana & Pepaw. While we were there the girls knocked over a chocolate cake in the kitchen floor. Pepaw caught Leora with a mop and Lachlan with a washcloth trying to get the chocolate off the floor before they were discovered :) He then asked Lachlan, "Did you eat any chocolate cake?" Through her chocolate goatee she sweetly answered "No." I was one of those moments where you HAVE to laugh but really shouldn't. I honestly have no clue what I'm going to do with that child!

My meeting last week with the Allied Health advisor was great!!! I don't want to jinx anything but it looks as if my tracks are leading me to the ADN program. I'm praying that this is truly the Lord's will for me. I've signed up for the TEAS test on April 10th. I looked up a practice exam on google and started to hyperventilate. Math hates me. I hate math. Luckily I get to take it twice before applying for the program.

I can't believe that Lachlan will be 4 next month! She's such a wonderful little lady. I'm so blessed to have her in my life. Leora is finally potty training!!! WooHoo!!! I'm really looking forward to living in a diaper free household.

Today is Spring Forward...yuck...so I'd better get my rear into bed to get on with the adjustment period. Nighty night :)

The weight of words...

Last Monday David taught half of the KICK class. It was a great switch up, it's nice to be on the floor and pushing myself without trying to talk. After class one of my participants came to me and said "This is the hardest class I've done!" ~sigh~ Okay, I know that shouldn't bother me, but it did. Don't I push them hard enough??? What's wrong with me??? So, after mulling over that statement for two days, I went back to teach this morning. I tried with all my might to bring the pain :) I think I succeded. Everyone left with red faces and heavy breathing. I also pushed myself past the point that I thought I could go. Now I see that comment as an amazing motivator, it was just what I needed!

In other news, I'm off to Marietta to talk with the Allied Health advisor. I'm so glad that I've decided to go back to school. I like goals and plans, now I've got oodles of both! And I'm out :)

Just a little longer....

Well, I was supposed to meet with the advisor today. But mom has to work and doesn't want to keep the girls on a day she has to work. So I'll go on Thursday. I am SOOOO ready to have things figured out. I really hope that this advisor can help me. I finished Brian's FAFSA last night. I hope he gets some $$. Now that I don't have to go to Marietta....what's the plan for today??

Pause....Fast Forward...REWIND

Yeah, I need one of those remotes from the movie Click. So much to do, so little time to do it in!! KICK at 4:30 today, I think we may go to the funeral home tonight (Richard Davenport passed away), we need groceries, bake a cake for after the funeral, bread class tomorrow, KICK tomorrow morning, visit Mamow & Papow on Sunday, Circuit workout on Sunday, meet with Allied Health advisor on Monday, KICK again...AhHHhhahaha.....Breathe, just breathe...

What A Lovely Day in the Neighborhood...

The sun is shining!!! Woo Hoo! Dare I say Spring is rearing is beautiful head!?!? I'm over snow. I want sunshine. I'm ready to take the girls to the park, let them expend all their energy and stock up on Vitamin D.

Today we've got a hair appt, I really want to get a pedicure. I know I shouldn't spend the money but I'm in desperate need! Marcia is teaching GROOVE tonight! What a fun way to burn calories. Okay, now to get the girls dressed and on the road.

So much for those plans....

Well, I'm thinking the Radiography may be a no go. Just when I have things planned out, the universe has itself a good belly laugh and then proceeds to give me a swift kick in the rear. I'm trying to be positive as I have put A LOT of prayer into these decisions. So I am assuming God is using these roadblocks to say "No, this direction is not my will for you." I'm cool with that. This verse spoke to me: The Message: Proverbs 3:5-7 “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all. Run to God! Run from evil!” He's the one who will keep you on track....I believe it.

Lachlan and Leora are growing up so fast. Lachlan has a "mommy complex". It's so funny to watch. She wants to be the boss of the world. Too much like her darn momma. Leora is just laid back, doesn't concern herself with what others are doing. As long as she's got some juice and a buddy (what she calls her blanket) she's all good. I need to buy a notebook and begin to write down all the crazy things the girls say. They are true entertainment. Well, off to tend to my domestic duties...the kitchen awaits!
